SUKI SKINCARE

I have discovered Suki Skincare quite recently and I am very happy with it at the moment.

First let me tell you a bit more about the brand. Suki is a cosmetics brand that is using only natural ingredients instead of the artificial chemicals found in most of the other brands. Suki products are 100% synthetic free and are composed of natural and organic ingredients.

I have got 3 Suki Skincare products via iHerb:

Here are a few reasons why I love Suki products:
- they are doing a very good job on my combo-sensitive-oily skin
- they do not contain harmful chemicals
- they smell very nice and refreshing
- the packaging is well design and Eco-friendly

If you are looking for a new skincare routine I would suggest to give Suki a try. You might be really amazed by the quality of the products and the results they are giving.

MINERAL MAKEUP BY EVERYDAY MINERALS: BASE, BRONZER AND FINISHING POWDER.

Hello! Today I want to talk about mineral makeup. Are you using mineral makeup? What is your favorite brand?

I have started to use mineral makeup about 1 year ago. At that time I was entirely re-thinking the way I choose and use cosmetics. Unfortunately (or not?), I can't eliminate makeup from my life so at least I decided to use mineral makeup as a way to eliminate nasty chemicals from my daily makeup routine.

Mineral makeup from Everyday Minerals has a very simple formulation. The base I am using as foundation contains only mica, titanium dioxide, iron oxides and ultramarines. It is the simplest formula I have found so far and I like it a lot. It feels very light on the skin, looks so natural and yet provides the coverage I need. I am using the IT base in the shade called multi-tasking neutral which is matching perfectly my fair skin with pink undertones.

As a bronzer, I am using the soft bronzer which is a translucent powder very effective in giving a healthy glow to my fair skin. I usually tap a small amount of bronzing powder into the lid and apply it all over my cheeks, forehead, nose and chin (+ lightly underneath my neck) with a powder brush.

The final touch of this mineral makeup routine is the finishing powder. It really helps to stay shine-free all day long. The one I am using is the sunlight finishing dust. I just tap a bit of powder into the lid and apply it all over the face. I also use it with a smaller brush as a setting powder on top of my concealer or eye shadows.

How do I get Everyday Minerals products? Living in Singapore, it is very expensive for me to order directly from Everyday Minerals website. Recently, I have found an online retailer which carry Everyday Minerals and offer low shipping fees: iHerb. In addition, iHerb is offering up to $10.00 off your first order if you use this coupon code CNS877.

I hope this post will help you to find the best makeup for your skin. Let me know if you decide to try Everyday Minerals products!

THE BEGINNING OF A BLOG.

Hi people, my name is Mélodie and I want to start blogging!

First, let me tell you 2 -3 things about me. I am originally from France but I have been living in Singapore for more than 4 years now. I am currently doing my PhD at NUS. By the way, please forgive my English, I am by no means a native speaker and my writing is still very rudimentary.

I want to start blogging! Recently, I have been trying to improve my lifestyle in many different ways. This has involved an extensive mining of information and I have discovered so many wonderful blogs and resources on my journey. This blog is a way to share my thoughts on the topics I have been interested in.

And these are the topics I am particularly interested in at the moment (this list might grow over time):

BEAUTY:
This section will probably include skincare, makeup, haircare, bodycare etc...
Let me tell you that one of the most drastic change I have made during this last year was to completely re-think the way I use cosmetics. Previously I was never really paying attention to the ingredients present in my cosmetics. I was happily using whatever looked or smelled attractive enough. Then a time came when I realized that most of what I was using was full of nasty components. I started to educate myself in order to be able to choose my cosmetics in a smarter way and I am quite happy with my progress (although I still have many more things to learn).

LIFESTYLE
This section will include quite a variety of topics such as home, travel, etc.
Let's see how this one goes...

FOOD
Recipes, ingredients, etc. I hope I can present healthy and yummy kitchen tips.

Et voilà. The first post is done. See you soon.
